They shouldn't have been buried.
It was too soon after they'd died, why weren't they burnt?
We've always burnt the dead.
It needs to be done.
We came back to open graves.
They were full at least.
But it wasn't the original bodies.
We aren't sure what it is.
It pulses at night and shrinks during the day.
It looks like flesh but feels like stone.
Where have our bodies gone?
