Day 67

The building wasn't staying up, so much as it was too stubborn to fall down.
That's what drew you to it at least.
Searching local records gave you its name and former use: Temperance Hospital.
Adjectives such as "decaying" and "atmospheric" floated through your mind but
never did the place justice.
You decided to drag a friend along and sneak into the place.

That's how we ended up here.
It seemed perfectly fine, dingy yes, dilapidated yes, but ordinary.
That was, until we found bodies decomposing in every bed on the uppermost floor.
There were no signs of injuries, they seemed asleep and peaceful.
They all looked so fresh, so warm, so new.

The empty beds beckoned us in.
